Saxapahaw Island Park opened in April 2018 and sits in the heart of Saxapahaw. The park spans 30 acres and features walking trails, a playground, and a meadow in addition to nearby river access. The park’s playground features a huge, one of a kind wooden fish slide that measures from head to fin 45 feet long. It stands 10 feet tall, is 8 feet wide, and weighs six tons.
